You can request deletion of your Gathered Together account and all associated data at any time. We will process your request within 30 days.
How to request account deletion
Send an email to privacy@gatheredtogether.app with:
- Subject line: Delete my account
- The email address associated with your account
We will confirm deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove:
- Your account information (email address, display name, profile picture)
- Your reading progress and weekly scores
- Your group memberships
- Your comments, reactions, verse notes, and highlights
- Your notification settings and device tokens
What is retained
- If you were a member of a group with other active participants, the group itself continues to exist for remaining members. Your contributions (comments, reactions) are removed from their view.
- Aggregate, anonymized usage data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for app improvement purposes.
- Data required to be retained by law will be kept for the legally required period.
Partial data deletion
If you would like to delete specific data without deleting your entire account — for example, removing your discussion comments or clearing your reading history — include that request in your email and we will handle it on a case-by-case basis.
